TEMPORARY LIVING

A modular project for the construction of a temporary building without extended foundation for use as a living unit.

The aim was to create an autonomous building with TEMPORARY LIVING, which functions as a building without major requirements and meets the respective humanitarian requirements.

The uncomplicated assembly and dismantling as well as the overall transportation concept enables use at a variety of locations and on a variety of surfaces. The high-quality materials used ensure consistent quality for repeated use.

A modular system for short or long-term applications that can be adapted to the different requirements of the location and design. Additional equipment options such as a PV system, water treatment system, additional insulation etc. are already included in the basic concept.

The concept has a wide range of applications. Whether a team unit, living area, work zone or even a refugee home as well as a mobile hospital or a mobile medical station – Temporary Living enables temporary – or even long-term use for 100 people in a well thought-out and homely overall concept.

concept & use

The concept for temporary living is an arched hall that is anchored on bulk halls and filled with different types of containers to meet the wide range of requirements.

Our concept not only meets all the requirements of the building – it also solves current problems and points of conflict. The starting product is a steel truss frame in the form of an arch, which is based on a prefabricated wall construction made of flat steel sheets.

On a floor area of just under 860m2, the outer shell is converted into a living area on the inside with ready-made container systems and a coordinated room concept – so-called temporary living.

The bulk halls made of welded metal are lined up and filled with water or sand to suit the respective load situations on site. The hall floor is laid using heavy-duty elements and adapted to the height situation on site.

Gender-segregated bathrooms and common areas with cooking areas and seating will be created in the core of the building. The inner infrastructure block also includes a central administration area and a medical zone for examinations.
